Week Nine: Color Rendering with Texture and Pattern
Once you understand the basic fashion figure drawing techniques, it is time to progress to rendering using color, pattern and texture to create realistic interpretations of fabric for lifelike fashion illustrations.

Reference Illustration for Fashion Designers by Kathryn Hagen for a complete understanding and graphic representation of fashion design illustration.
Kathryn Hagen's book which is a required text for this class is a great resource for color rendering. In the back of her book is also a CD with videos of her demonstrating each of her illustration techniques. Four more of these videos are included below for your quick reference. Please refer to your book for further explanations and videos.

Rendering Project is due by Sunday ending Week Eight. This project is worth 15 points and should be uploaded using the submission feature at the bottom of this page. Upload should be in the form of (2) .jpg files. One is the 2D back flats with picture of chosen garments and one is the 3D version of the garments on the fashion figure.
